TOMC was formed to provide the transportation industries with support services for current and upcoming federal regulations regarding employee health and safety in the workplace.
Our primary focus is on the railroad industry, specifically in providing short line and regional (Class II and III) railroads support services for 49 CFR Part 227 and some aspects of 229 regarding locomotive cab noise and employee exposures. Federal regulations can be complex and can require much time, effort and resources from employers, and independent compliance may be cost prohibitive for smaller railroads.
TOMC exists to help these railroads with support services designed specifically for these and other federal regulations, but without a high price tag. While railroads are our primary focus, we also offer services to those in the trucking industry. See our 'Services' page for more information.
TOMC has some of the finest leadership physicians in the railroad industry. Our founding doctors have many years of experience working with Class I railroads and short lines, and both are widely regarding as industry leaders within their fields. TOMC's Operations Manager is CAOHC certified as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist, and is also TWIC credentialed.
TOMC is an Associate Member of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, and we are an ASLRRA Preferred Provider for hearing and nosie support for their members. To view our ASLRRA associate member page, please click here.
While we have partnered with ASLRRA to assist their member railroads, our services are available to all railroads regardless of their ASLRRA membership.
